Hey, I’m Pavlo (pvlso) 👋
I’m a developer who loves engineering, programming, and figuring out how things really work.
My Story
I first got into programming when I was 12 years old — my brother showed me PascalABC, and I spent hours playing around with it, amazed by the idea that you could tell the computer what to do. That moment pretty much set the path for everything that came after.
These days, I’m exploring the Linux Kernel, pushing forward with my game engine, and designing a machine that counts golf balls — I’ve already built a prototype and am now working on a stable version.
I enjoy everything that involves engineering, problem-solving, and brainstorming. I was heavily influenced by Casey Muratori’s videos, which shaped the way I think about programming — I like writing in C with a bit of C++ flavor, keeping things close to the hardware.
What Drives Me
Most of the time, it’s curiosity. I love the process of building something complicated and finally seeing it come to life — that sense of pride and accomplishment never gets old.
It’s even better when others appreciate your work — it fuels the drive to keep going.
Outside of Code
When I’m not programming, you’ll probably find me playing guitar and singing — it’s the best kind of emotional reset for me.
I’ve also been thinking about getting into writing, just haven’t started yet.
I used to play a lot of games — mostly RPGs like The Witcher 3 and Cyberpunk 2077, and MOBAs like Dota 2. Lately, I’ve been playing Deadlock, the new beta from Valve.
Thanks for stopping by — I hope you find something here that sparks your own ideas.
